When she’s not acting, Bea Alonzo avoids answering questions about her current relationship in the slickest way possible.
Just recently, the latest Fuji Film celebrity endorser slammed reporters for caring too much about her off-screen romance. “Ano ba ang alam niyo sa isyu? Wala naman kayong alam (What do you know about the issue? Clearly, you don’t know much), ” jokes Bea—though we all know jokes are half-meant.
The star stayed nice, though, and offered thought-provoking relationship advice instead.
Hinting to what could have been a rocky time for both her and Zanjoe Marudo, Bea then reflected, “Siyempre, lahat naman tayo may pinagdadaanan ng ganu’n. Hindi naman talaga perpekto [ang kahit anong relasyon.] Siguro hindi niyo mahal ang isa’t isa kung hindi kayo nagse-shake or wala kayong pinagdadaanan. That’s not a relationship. (Of course everybody goes through tough times. No relationship is perfect. Maybe you don’t love each other enough if everything’s just easy. That’s not a relationship.)”
You heard that, lovers? “A relationship is full of misunderstandings and love. Mahal niyo ang isa’t isa kung may pakialam kayo sa isa’t isa (You love each other when you care about each other), ” she added. Point taken.
Now we’d like to think this is her personal advice, and not a well-rehearsed display of the #hugot lines she’ll be throwing in her upcoming film. Bea is reprising her role as Basha in the cult hit One More Chance’s sequel A Second Chance, which will premiere this month.
