Let’s admit it: The news is depressing. As much as we need to know what’s happening around us, it’s quite tiring to see reports about a corrupt politician, crime in the city, or impending natural disasters like an incoming storm or a rise in temperature since summer is now upon us. But once reporter Atom Araullo shows up onscreen, our attention spans somehow prolong. (Hey, he may be on your television screens right now as you’re reading this.)
Of course, it’s undeniable that all broadcast journalists work hard on how they deliver the news on live television, and try so hard not to mess up like Jiggy Manicad did several times. Sure, Atom has this skill in the bag, but his looks kind of give him the upper hand, especially among his female viewership. Who could forget that time he was in the middle of a ravaging storm and still had women swooning in their homes?
Aside from delivering us our daily news, Atom was also a former child actor, a TV personality who appeared in several magazine covers throughout the years, and even a triathlete who displayed his skills in a popular television commercial.
We can go on and on about how swoon-worthy he is, but we need to stop rambling and just let you click through our slideshow to see Atom’s career history unfold.
