We were guessing before what role singer-actress Lea Salonga will play on the finale of the musical comedy show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. That being said, not only was her role finally revealed to everyone, the date of the episode is also set to premiered in CW on April 18. (As of writing, there’s no update yet on when it’ll air in the Philippines.)
One of the show’s protagonists, Josh Chan, is played by Fil-Am actor Vincent Rodriguez III. The finale will be centered around the wedding of Josh’s sister, who is not Lea, by the way. According to Inquirer.net, Rachel Bloom, who plays the show’s main character and also the one who created it, revealed that Lea’s going to play Josh’s aunt.
Just imagine: A wedding with Filipino elements (the men were reportedly wearing barong Tagalog in the show), and Lea putting her own spin on the stereotypical #TitasOfMNL. That would definitely be funny!
More importantly, we’re also excited to hear Lea sing in the show, and we’re guessing her favorite Hamilton songs on her Spotify playlist helped her out while shooting that episode.
