WATCH: A Zombie Movie That’s Actually More Scientific Than Scary

These days, more people are incorporating zombies in movies, books, and television shows―it’s almost a genre in itself. And if you’ve seen any of them, you’ll know that it’s always the same mindless killing plot every time. But, this upcoming film titled The Girl With All the Gifts might just save this genre.

This post-apocalyptic film centers around a young, infected girl named Melanie (played by Sennia Nanua) who can control her urge to eat flesh. According to a short summary by Ars Technica, the film will progress into a scientific plot to save those who are infected, therefore saving mankind.

By the sound of it, this movie will do away with the typical horror-slash-fantasy plot and work with a more rational storyline―a better one, if you ask me.

The film will premiere in the UK in September. No news yet whether it’ll be shown here in the Philippines. But we’re sure to keep you posted.
