9 Non-Mainstream Ladies that You Should Keep Tabs On

As people of the social media era, we always find ourselves checking out random feeds. Most of the time, we stumble upon fresh faces who pique our interest―a model, an up-and-coming actress, or even a musician.

Now, we at Preen love discovering new girls to follow on social media and keep track of. And sometimes, the best ones are still lowkey and not that mainstream―sort of. So here’s a list of ladies that we’re watching out for.

Leila Alcasid

Leila is a Filipina based in Australia, and she’s the eldest daughter of Ogie Alcasid and Michelle van Eimeren. As of now, she’s not engaged in any projects related to showbusiness and is still in college. But, if given the chance, we’re seeing a potential modeling career―maybe for Neon Island since she’s buddies with the Gibbs sisters―or maybe joining beauty pageants just like her mom. She can even get into showbiz like her dad.

Kaila Estrada

The daughter of Janice De Belen and John Estrada, Kaila is already snagging major modeling gigs like being one of the ambassadors for SM Youth and walking for Mark Bumgarner. So don’t let her innocent look fool you as she can turn heads with her Krysten Ritter-like appearance.

Jachin Manere

Another model that we’ve got our eyes on is Jachin with her striking gaze and European features. She frequents runway shows, magazine spreads, and even got her first solo cover for an e-zine recently. But when she’s not being fierce in designer clothing, you can also see her being goofy from time to time on her Instagram page.

Keiko Necesario

You may have heard of Keiko from her occasional gigs, short song covers on Instagram, and her album on Spotify. If not, she’s a musician with a powerful jazzy voice that you can listen to when you want to chill out or when the rain suddenly pours.

Josefina Bolzico

Argentinian model and Nico Bolzico’s younger sister, Josefina is also doing her own stint here in Manila. I first discovered her feed when Solenn Heussaff shared a photo of her (shot by BJ Pascual) and I instantly thought, “This girl kind of looks like Liza Soberano.” But she’s definitely more than just a look-alike as she can bring her own flare to the industry in the future.

Jess Wise

Jess recently shot a fashion editorial for Inquirer Red, and her features seemed fitting of an old noir film. While she seems to be starting out with fashion and modeling, we can tell that she’s a natural with her effortless grace in front of the camera.

Sam Sadwhani

This morena beauty definitely inherited her model potential from mom Apples Aberin. When Sam’s not posing for something, she’s snapping up photos from her several travels. And when she’s not modeling or traveling, she’s working at retailer Shop LCP.

Tola Orendain

Another lady who likes to take photos of her travels is Tola. She’s a model who’s walked for shows like Manila Fashion Fest and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo, and we’re expecting to see her more in the future. She also does artsy typographies from time to time.

Bea Marin

If you’re in need of some style inspo, you might want to check out Bea’s fashion blog. Although her blog started back in 2011, it still continues to grow, making her an online influencer we’re keeping our eyes on.
