As Miss Universe season comes in full swing this month, we’re curious as to what’s in store for the contestants. Especially since the pageant will be held here in the Philippines in January next year.
The Department of Tourism gets into detail of the women’s itinerary for Miss Universe. They said that there will be a welcome party on Saturday at the Conrad Hotel in Pasay where reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach will be there with 10 other beauty queens. Tourism Secretary Wanda Tulfo-Teo also adds that contestants from Australia, China, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and USA are expected to arrive on Friday.
There will also be a courtesy visit to the Malacañang where President Rodrigo Duterte will welcome the first batch of contestants, which include Binibining Pilipinas-Universe Maxine Medina.
Meanwhile, it’s also revealed that the swimwear competition will be at Cebu. They might even try their famous lechon while they’re there.
The Miss Universe coronation night will be on Jan. 30, 2017 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. We wish all the contestants luck in the competition and we also wish that Steve Harvey won’t mess up this year.
