Beautiful cities still hide their own darkness. We’re sad to hear that actor Sam Milby’s first time in Paris was greeted with a robbery incident. Don’t worry, he’s safe.
In a series of tweets, Sam shares what happened when three men tried to steal his wallet. Only to have an odd twist when they realized that they didn’t get what they were looking for.
Landed & took the train to the apartment… Then 3 men tried to rob me at the station. Not the best way to start my first time here in Paris

It’s a good thing the actor got his passport back. Next to a wallet, God only knows the horror of losing your passport while in a foreign city. Good thing also that Sam is unharmed and nothing worse happened.

When traveling, some security experts suggest bringing along a false wallet when going around in case pickpockets try to outsmart you. Email yourself and a trusted friend or family a clear copy of your passport and pertinent travel documents in case you lose the physical copies. This way it will be easier to explain and prove yourself to authorities.
Hope Sam still gets to enjoy his vacation in Paris and we’re glad he’s safe.
