The Iconic Pia Wurtzbach Moments We Want Liza Soberano to Reenact

It was only a matter of time before Liza Soberano played the role of a beauty queen. She’s not joining pageants just yet, but she got the opportunity to play Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach in ABS-CBN’s Maalala Mo Kaya, which will air this Saturday.

Naturally, fans are excited about the actress’ latest role. Several behind-the-scenes shots would show us that Liza was really immersed into what Pia experienced from Binibining Pilipinas to Miss Universe. But if you’ve been following Pia’s life as a beauty queen ever since, you’d know how many iconic moments she’s had. We don’t know how many of them would be included in the MMK episode—because you can only do so much with a one-hour show—but it’s not wrong to hope for these scenes.

#1 Training to be a beauty queen

Bandera reported that Liza underwent pageant training with Aces & Queens. We all know being a beauty queen is no easy feat and it’d be nice to see the process and struggles that Pia went through to get where she is.

#2 Trying three times in Bb. Pilipinas

Before winning the Miss Universe crown, Pia was known for joining Bb. Pilipinas three times. Just imagine Liza having a dramatic moment in the show after losing in the first two years. Then switching to sheer joy after her coronation.

#3 Wearing the gowns

Do you ever wonder how many gowns Pia tried on before choosing the winning ones? Although we already have an idea of Liza’s gowns for MMK, we want to see the very moment she fell in love with her chosen ensemble.

#4 The “confidently beautiful” Q&A portion

Who could forget Pia’s winning answer during Miss Universe? The way she confidently answered it and how beautiful she looked in her royal blue Albert Andrada gown. It doesn’t hurt to see that moment on TV again.

#5 Steve Harvey moment

Another moment we want to see again (and again) is Pia’s priceless reaction after Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner. It wouldn’t be a Pia Wurtzbach episode if Liza didn’t do that scene, so fingers crossed for this one.
