After 76 years of waiting for a Wonder Woman origin story to hit the big screen, the movie finally premiered earlier this month. So far, it was welcomed with rave reviews and even a record-breaking blockbuster debut.
Last night, Preen.ph hosted a Wonder Woman block screening at Century City Mall. It was an evening filled with people from the fashion and beauty industry, as well as influencers, who were thrilled to see the female superhero in action. Of course, we can’t forget the empowering strength and feminist message that Wonder Woman is best known for.
Before the movie started, makeup artist Jigs Mayuga expressed his excitement for the film. Wellness advocates Teresa Herrera-Anthony and Victoria Herrera sat front row and seemed to enjoy the experience. This was also Victoria’s early birthday celebration—the best way to spend it, in our opinion.
There were also those who went with their friend groups like models Jullian Culas, Hye Won Jang, and Lou Yanong. Also spotted were designers Joey Samson, Dennis Lustico, Ivar Aseron, model-photographer Jo-Ann Bitagcol, and jewelry designers Candy and Janina Dizon.
The jam-packed evening ended with our guests either gushing about Gal Gadot’s beauty, the incredible fight scenes, or the touching moments. Sometimes even a combination of all three. No spoilers here, but Wonder Woman is definitely a must-watch for everyone.
