Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s Drama ‘Barcelona’ Is Part of South Korea’s BiFan Film Festival

Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s drama film Barcelona: A Love Untold will be showcased in the 21st Bucheon International Fantastic (BiFan) Film Festival in South Korea. It’ll be part of the festival’s Best of Asia program.

The film, directed by Olivia M. Lamasan, is a story of two people who found each other in Barcelona, Spain after a series of past mistakes. It was also one of the highest-grossing Filipino films in 2016 with P321 million.

Coincidentally, Kathryn and Daniel’s latest rom-com Can’t Help Falling in Love also grossed P300 million worldwide this year. They clearly have a consistent streak.

This year, BiFan will run from July 13 to 23 and will feature 289 films from 68 countries. There are also three other Filipino films included in the fest. Director Mikhail Red’s award-winning film Birdshot which will be shown under the World Fantastic Red section. This is dedicated to “blood-spattering action, creepy horror and heart-pumping thrillers.”

Meanwhile, the Best of Asia program will also feature Joyce Bernal’s The Super Parental Guardians and Maryo J. Delos Reyes’ The Unmarried Wife.
