Kim Chiu, for all her celebrity status, film success, and social media following, is just a fan like the rest of us. She viewed Justin Bieber when he went live on Instagram this week and said hi over the comments. Justin replied swiftly, “Chinita, I’ll see you in the Philippines,” calling her by her Instagram handle. Justin is set to perform in Manila this Sept. 30 as part of his Purpose Tour.
The moment was quite major as Teen Vogue wrote about it, focusing on who Kim actually is for the benefit of those who don’t know her internationally.
The moment was saved and reposted by Kim. Which is typical and something you would do also in the same situation, right? We’re hoping Justin pulls through and makes the casual comment a reality. Justin and Kim can totally have a selfie like Selena Gomez and Liza Soberano.
This is not the first time Kim got validation from an idol on Instagram Live. She previously asked Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian questions when they hopped on the app’s live feature for the first time. She asked Kim if she’d like to visit the Philippines and about Khloe’s current diet.
Kim responded that she would want to go, recalling how her siblings Rob and Kylie visited our country once. Khloe replied to Kim by saying, “God, I’ve been a feast of a pig, like a pig on steroids. I can’t stop eating. It is horrible. I have no self-control. I feel disgusting. It’s just a mess.”
Kim acknowledged the whole exchange on her Twitter.
Ah, at the rate you’re going, Kim, you’re bound to meet one of your idols soon for sure. Keep being the fangirl you are!
