Anne Curtis, Emma Stone, and James Reid Can’t Get Enough of K-Pop

It’s undeniable that a lot of people all over the world are obsessed with K-pop. Here in the Philippines alone the craze expands to K-drama, fashion, cosmetics, and Korean culture in general. This isn’t just a simple “let’s do a finger heart for photos” deal.

This is also the same for local and Hollywood stars. Like us regular people, they also fangirl/boy over Korean personalities and embrace the culture. Some even say that they’re influenced by K-pop idols and groups.

We’ve rounded up the celebrities who can’t get enough of K-culture. You might just have the same favorites as them.

Anne Curtis

It’s no secret how much Anne Curtis loves Goblin lead actor Gong Yoo. If you follow her on Twitter, you’ll see how much she can’t stop talking about the show and many others. She sometimes even asks her followers to suggest Korean films and dramas for her to watch in her spare time.

The Smith family

Jaden Smith has expressed his support for singer and rapper G-Dragon numerous times, even noting that he is his inspiration. Maybe that’s why Jaden also wanted to create his own K-pop album.

Meanwhile, Will Smith also shared how he, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and daughter Willow bond over K-pop. “We think Wonder Girls are aliens,” he said during a press con. “My daughter and wife are very into world music. They talked about Wonder Girls before and that is why I have an interest in them.”

Ellen Adarna

One of Ellen Adarna’s favorite hobbies (aside from working out) is doing fun K-pop covers. She sometimes post videos of herself while singing songs by Lee Hyori, Shinhwa, and BoA. She also danced to Super Junior. Looks like Ellen loves her first gen K-pop.

Emma Stone

In an interview with Conan O’Brien in 2015, Emma Stone admitted that she’s obsessed with K-pop. She cited Girls’ Generation and 2NE1 as her all-time favorites. “I don’t even know how to describe it, it’s just so addictive,” she said.

Iñigo Pascual

Earlier this year, singer-actor Iñigo Pascual caught the attention of both local and Korean media for his short K-pop covers. So far, he’s performed songs from EXO, GOT7, and BigBang.

Lorde

According to Animo, Lorde’s friend introduced her to the TV show K-Pop Star and she fell in love with singer Lee Hi. “I’ll do a mash-up of K-pop songs,” she said in an interview.

James Reid

More reasons to love James Reid if you’re K-pop fan. He watched BigBang’s concert back in 2015 and got to shake G-Dragon’s hand. He even teased his sister Lauren for leaving early.
