After months of waiting and hours at the hospital, Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian welcomed their baby girl into the world earlier this month. Serena posted a photo with her daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. on Instagram along with a video on IG stories documenting her pregnancy journey.
Back in April, Serena accidentally shared a photo on Snapchat revealing that she was pregnant before she actually wanted to announce it. According to The Cut, she told Gayle King that, “I didn’t tell a lot of people to be quite honest and I’d been saving it. On social media, you press the wrong button and… Thirty minutes later I missed four calls and I’m like, ‘That’s weird.’ But it was a good moment. I was only going to wait five or six more days [to share].”
In the video, the couple shares doctors appointments like when she found out she was pregnant and listening to the baby’s heartbeat at 34 weeks. There are also clips of the couple looking at baby furniture on Pinterest and Serena falling asleep while on a video call with Alexis. They even added some funny moments like Alexis practicing how to swaddle on their dog and Serena dancing a little too crazy.
