This New Wes Anderson Film Will Make You Hug Your Dog

Imagine what life would be like if our dogs were taken away from us. Sounds cruel, doesn’t it? Well, the plot of Wes Anderson’s new film, Isle of Dogs, will let you experience just that.

The animated flick is set in dystopian Japan where a “dog flu” outbreak forced the government to place dogs in a secluded island. The dogs (who mostly look like schnauzers, for some reason) have to then adapt to their new “home” and survive off of rotten food. They also try to help a young boy who’s looking for his lost dog while fending off the evil Mayor Kobayashi.

Did you feel a sudden urge to hug your dog after watching the trailer? Because we did.

Like every Wes Anderson film, Isle of Dogs has an all-star cast. This list includes Edward Norton, Scarlett Johansson, Yoko Ono, Bryan Cranston, Tilda Swinton, and more.

The movie will premiere on March 23, 2018. You still have enough of time to compose your #feels.
