Celebrity Covers: The Gibbs Sisters and Gabbi Garcia Show Off Their Singing Chops

While celebrities and influencers are becoming YouTube personalities, we also noticed that many of them are showcasing their singing talent. From covering songs to releasing their own tracks and music videos online, they are sharing a different side of them that we don’t see on-screen or social media.

We listed some videos below so you can save it in your “Celebrity Covers” playlist. You can even hit subscribe to discover more music from your favorites.

Chi Gibbs and Gabs Gibbs

The Gibbs sisters obviously inherited their dad Janno’s talent. They recently covered “New Rules” by Dua Lipa and “One Day” by Janno Gibbs for Spotlight Music Sessions. Now we want to see more covers alongside their several makeup tutorials.

Carla Humphries

Carla Humphries is one of the newest celebrity-turned-vloggers out there. Taking a break from her usual vlogs, Carla decided to cover “You’ve Got a Friend” as a dedication to Wil Dasovich. “I’ve always been afraid to sing,” she wrote on the description box. “But certain recent events made me realize that there’s never a perfect time to do something. Sometimes you’ve just got to JUMP.”

Gabbi Garcia

Before Gabbi Garcia started recording for her first single (which will be out soon), she often posts song covers on her Facebook page. These range from Filipino songs from Zia Quizon and Paolo Valenciano, to internationally mainstream ones from Amy Winehouse to Little Mix.

Saab Magalona

Apart from blogging and handling her businesses, Saab also sings for the pop rock band Cheats together with husband Jim Bacarro. You can find their songs and music videos like “Drunk” and “Talk” on their YouTube channel. If you want a solo video, Saab posted a cover of “So Gone” by Best Coast five years ago.

Glaiza De Castro

Another actress-musician is Glaiza De Castro. Her album Magandang Simulain is out on Spotify and iTunes, but you can also watch her perform her songs “Sinta” and “Sa’Yo Pa Rin” on YouTube.
