Beyoncé and Donald Glover to Star in ‘The Lion King’ Remake

After months of circulating rumors, Beyoncé and Disney finally confirmed that she will be playing the role of Nala for the remake of The Lion King. She posted the complete cast on her Facebook account while Disney posted on their Twitter account.

Beyoncé will be with a star-studded cast as Donald Glover will play Simba, Chiwetel Ejiofor as villain Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa with Billy Eichner as Timon. James Earl Jones will also reprise his role as Mufasa from the 1994 animated version, while Alfre Woodard will play Sarabi.

Did you know that The Lion King is still the highest grossing animated film of all time? I bet this new film will make it 100x more popular.

Book the cinema for the summer of 2019, because we’re super excited. To help us deal with the wait, we’re definitely booking tickets to The Lion King Musical happening in March 2018. See you there to celebrate?
