Aside From Shopping, Here’s What You Need to Do this Christmas

More than gifts, this Christmas season is also all about making memories. This is why SM Megamall prepared a royal holiday, starting with a performance of The Enchanting Princess: A Holiday Musical Wonder. The debut performance was last Nov. 8. It was also when the 45-foot grand Christmas centerpiece, elaborately decorated with two 16-feet white stallions, giant tiaras, dazzling sapphire-colored jewels and mirrors. It’s very extra but do we really want anything less?

An original performance by Okada Manila’s World of Wonders, The Enchanting Princess: A Holiday Musical Wonder is directed by Giulio Scatola, a seasoned veteran of Cirque du Soleil. Take it from us who caught Cirque du Soleil when they were in Manila recently that it’s good. It felt as if I was a kid again with the acrobatic stunts, prismatic sets, and costumes. Along with this was how the story was story was told without any words just songs and dance numbers. The show was staged on Nov. 8, 3 p.m.; Nov. 9, 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Nov. 10, 5 p.m., and 7 p.m.; at the Event Hall, Ground Level of the Mega Fashion Hall.

Fear you missed out on something good? Don’t fret as The Enchanting Princess: A Holiday Musical Wonder is just the start of the many exciting events at SM Megamall. There’s the Arendelle castle where you can bring you nieces, nephews,—and children to enjoy fun coloring activities. You can also shop the Frozen merchandise at Disney Pixar’s Olaf’s Frozen Adventure at the Event Center from Nov.13 to Dec. 3. Hint: They make great stocking stuffers! I bet you also won’t resist having your photo taken with giant the Disney Tsum Tsum inflatables and shop exclusive items at the Event Center from Dec. 4 to Jan. 7, 2018. I suggest you block out these dates already.

There’s also the annual Santa Meet & Greet every weekend from Nov. 17 to Dec. 25 at the Mega Atrium. (Now’s the time to be honest and think if you’ve really been naughty or nice.)

But I’m also looking forward to Dec. 18. You can watch the special holiday performance of The Nutcracker Suite by Ballet Philippines at the Mega Fashion Hall.

Truly a royal holiday at SM Megamall. Merry SM Christmas!
