What Moira Dela Torre has done is something short of a miracle. How do you turn one of today’s overplayed and annoying songs into something that’s refreshingly viral? We don’t have the exact formula but it seems that Moira has a clue.
The singer made good on her promise to do her own version of “Baby Shark” upon winning the grand prize of Himig Handog 2017. She admits that she lost it because prior to singing, she remembered her grandmother. So forgive Moira if she couldn’t deliver the whole song. But it’s okay, really, because we’re not crying. We’re not. You are!
As of writing, the video has received 164,000 reactions, over 55,000 shares, and over two million views in less than 24 hours. It has also been reposted on various media outlets on YouTube. Because who doesn’t love Baby Shark and that whole aquatic family right now?
