Two days have passed since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement. Obviously, we’re still not over it, especially after that cute BBC interview where they talked about their love story. According to them, a mutual friend set them up on a blind date in London, “and the rest, as they say, is history.”
While they never named who it was, we have a feeling that it’s fashion designer Misha Nonoo.
Misha and Meghan have been good friends for a while now. Meghan wore a few of Misha’s pieces, including the boyfriend shirt she sported at the Invictus Games. They were also spotted attending red carpet events together and traveling to different cities.
Likewise, Misha’s then-husband Alexander Gilkes is also Prince Harry’s best friend from Eton, so he must’ve played a role in it too. They also have Soho House consultant Markus Andersson, who is close to Meghan and knew Harry socially, to thank for setting up their date venue.
If you’re still skeptical, Meghan traveled to Madrid with Misha and Markus in August 2016. It was during that time that Harry and Meghan became more serious as well.
No one has confirmed these speculations just yet, but we have strong feelings about them. We can also add Misha to the list of possible wedding dress designers for Meghan. Or maybe she’ll be one of the bridesmaids.
Either way, we now want a friend like Misha who’ll make our fairy tale dreams come true.
