Alex Gonzaga once again hit the trending pages as she posted singing videos with Moira Dela Torre. After their “Perfect” cover went up, the reception so far has been positive. Alex also gave a shout-out to the people who watched it.
In a tweet, Alex thanked everyone and jokingly wondered: “[Di] ko alam kung matatouch ako. Kumanta naman kami pareho pero bakit Moira is so [talented] and Alex is ‘funny’??” (I don’t know if I should feel touched. Both of us sang, but why did you guys say Moira is so talented and Alex is “funny?”)
To be fair, the video is funny because of how Alex tried to translate the lyrics of “Perfect” into Filipino. (With the help of her boyfriend Mikee Morada.) But Alex still showed off her vocal chops in a second cover video where she sang Moira’s hit song “Malaya.”
We’re giving Alex an A+ for her effort to sing “Malaya” and even harmonize with Moira. Hopefully people will call her talented and funny now after watching this video.
