Kathryn Bernardo’s Punches in ‘La Luna Sangre’ Are Real

It’s no secret that Kathryn Bernardo underwent intense training for her role in La Luna Sangre. Fans of the show saw that and applauded her performance. But of course, there were also the occasional casualties on set, particularly when she’s squaring off against Daniel Padilla.

In an interview with Inquirer.net, Daniel revealed that he would receive real punches from Kathryn while shooting. “This happened because she didn’t know how to approximate them,” he said. “She goes all-out because she’s with me. I hope she didn’t do it to the other actors she had fight scenes with.”

Daniel also shared that he doesn’t mind getting punched by Kathryn. In fact, Kathryn learned “how I should move, so I’d look more graceful onscreen” from him, too. “He would point out my errors by showing me the correct form. He gave his suggestions, which helped me a lot,” she said. It’s a fair trade if you’re being used as a walking punching bag IMO.

La Luna Sangre aired its final episode yesterday. Although there’s no news yet of their future projects together, we kind of want to see more action-packed roles for them. How about you?
