Julia Barretto Wants Fans to Stop Pitting Women Against Each Other

The past week has been a rollercoaster for #JoshLia fans. First, breakup rumors started after Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia shared cryptic Instagram posts. But they’ve since denied it via Twitter. And just last night, Julia asked to stop the “fan wars” surrounding the rumored breakup.

It all started when Julia reacted to a tweet that said, “Ang kay Julia ay kay Julia.” She simply tweeted emojis as a response.

A few hours later, Julia brought up that fans were starting to fight because of her emoji-filled tweet. Specifically, this was between #JoshLia fans and Loisa Andalio‘s fanbase. “What’s all this fan war about? I’m so confused. How’d it lead to that? I was pertaining to the rumors spreading about Josh and I, and some people managed to make more stories up,” Julia wrote.

According to some netizens’ tweets, they’re accusing Loisa of stealing Joshua. The two are working together on show The Good Son. In past interviews, they were also asked about their alleged awkwardness while on set.

Because of this, Julia also tweeted, “Stop pitting women against each other. It’s not cute.” A great point and statement to make to shut down any rumor. We hope this teaches people to not compare and put women down because they dislike one of them.
