Would you believe that it’s been two years since Kris Aquino announced that she’s retiring from showbiz? Since then, Kris has been making it big with her online videos which, deservedly so, always go viral. But it looks like she’s really coming back to the local big screen soon and this might be the confirmation that we all needed.
Last night, Kris tweeted that she met with Cornerstone Entertainment, Spring Films, and director Paul Soriano and his Ten17P team for a future project. “[I] feel so privileged to have the opportunity to hopefully work [with two] of our country’s most innovative independent producers for a movie,” she wrote. She didn’t disclose much other than it has a “daring yet human concept.”
Bandera also reported that Kris hinted at a comeback project with Star Cinema when she posted a snippet of an opening billboard. It seems like she’s watching and reviewing some movies from last year. Maybe she’s brushing up for her upcoming role?
It looks like we can expect big things from Kris this year. Let’s not forget that she also has a cameo in Crazy Rich Asians, which premieres this August.
