Joshua Garcia Apologized for the Private Message He Sent to a Girl

Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto’s breakup rumors started to spread a few weeks ago which led their fans into a rollercoaster of emotions. They thought the couple was breaking up because of cryptic messages posted on their accounts and then they started pitting actresses against each other which Julia did not find cute.

Now we know what really happened when Joshua Garcia sat down with Boy Abunda for a tell-all interview. Screenshots of Joshua’s private message to a girl named Dane Rhea Sillo went viral as he complimented her swimsuit photo. His message read, “Art shot [thumbs up emoji].”

People started to make up stories that Joshua was flirting with another woman—which may have led to all the breakup rumors. This was probably what Julia was talking about when she tweeted, “What’s all this fan war about? I’m so confused. How’d it lead to that? I was pertaining to the rumors spreading about Josh and I, and some people managed to make more stories up.” Now, do you connect the dots?

Joshua confirmed to Tito Boy that yes, he sent that message, but there was no intention to flirt with her and that he was only complimenting the photo. But later on he learned how one small move can actually cause such a big issue, especially with his onscreen partner and girlfriend Julia.

Dahil doon, yes, [nag-away kami]. Naayos. Hindi lang naging madali pero kaya naman. Sobrang okay naman ngayon,” (Because of that, yes. We fought. It got fixed. It was not easy, but we were able to do it. We’re super okay now.) he said.

Sinabi ko sa kanya na, siyempre, ‘I apologize for what happened,’ and sinabi ko na, ‘Challenge langto na kailangan natin malampasan,'” (I apologized to her, of course. I told her that this is just a challenge that we have to overcome.) he added.

Joshua said that it may have happened for a reason because he needed to learn a lesson, and he sure did.
