Kit Harington and Rose Leslie added an unexpected ‘Game of Thrones’ detail to their wedding

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie’s wedding is practically the second royal wedding of this year. The Game of Thrones stars are set to marry on June 23 at a castle in Scotland. But to make it even better, they’re doing a GOT theme for their special day. BRB, fangirling.

A source told The Sun that the couple has reportedly gotten Father Chad Boulton, a hooded Benedictine monk, to officiate their nuptials. “They’re getting married by a monk in a castle. It doesn’t get more Game of Thrones than that,” the source said. “They were delighted to meet Father Chad, who’s really looking forward to the big day.”

For those who don’t know, monks play a significant role in the GOT universe, especially in the last two seasons. Although they were quite scary as they’re part of a religious movement called the Sparrows and were against Westeros’ dominant religion, Faith of the Seven. They’re also the ones who made Queen Cersei Lannister do the nude walk of shame at King’s Landing.

Anyway, that’s not the only GOT detail that the couple incorporated onto their wedding preparations. They apparently used Jon Snow’s stamp to seal their wedding invitations.

Even though Kit denied the possibility of a GOT-themed wedding because Rose wouldn’t approve, you have to admit that there’s no way they can’t do that. After all, they met and fell in love on set. They kinda need to pay homage, don’t you think? All that’s left is a pair of Winterfell direwolves to carry their rings.
