K-pop group Momoland is coming to the Philippines this August. While fans are patiently waiting for them to come here, they were treated to the newest music video for “BAAM” and were surprised to see that Momoland included Filipino elements.
The video showcased different cultures from countries like Korea, Egypt, UK, and Vietnam. The Philippines scene first showed Nancy, who’s said to be Liza Soberano‘s lookalike, carrying a small flag. The backdrop then shows a jeepney with Momoland written on the top.
Four of the members also danced while wearing basketball jerseys—since Filipinos love this sport—and a baro’t saya.
As of writing, “BAAM” is number one on YouTube’s trending page and the video already has over six million views in the span of two days. We’re willing to bet that this’ll go viral again, especially since the dance steps are as infectious as “BBoom BBoom.” We’re also waiting on that dance collab, Liza!
