Julie Anne San Jose is proud of herself for writing her own songs

After releasing her latest single for her upcoming EP, Julie Anne San Jose talked to Inquirer.net about her music. When asked about writing her own songs she said it was a “very gratifying experience.” “The moment you hear the final product—the arrangement, music, and lyrics all coming together—is satisfying. It makes me feel proud.”

Her new song “Tayong Dalawa” is supposed to be about a long distance relationship, the opposite of her current situation. She is currently dating actor Benjamin Alves. “I guess it’s not applicable to me because I’m happy right now. But I was inspired by the thought of being away from a loved one. But I think [Ben comes in] the first half of the song’s chorus, which is about hoping, dreaming, [and] wishing that you end up together.”
