The phrase “squad goals” and “friendship goals” has been overused at this point. But you’ll still see people use it when they see photos of local celebrity friend groups. Many of them we already know about because we see them everywhere on social media or on TV. While others are more low-key or only formed their barkada recently.
Today, we’re rounding some of these friend groups and what they like to do together based on their social media posts. Maybe you can see you and your friends in them too.
It Girls
Even before the hit E! show, the It Girls—comprised of Solenn Heussaff, Georgina Wilson, Liz Uy, Isabelle Daza, and Anne Curtis—have been pretty close. They hang out at each other’s homes when they’re not swamped with work and were present at their weddings. They also travel together and have dates with their babies and pets.

Nadine Lustre, Lauren Reid, and Kiana Valenciano‘s friendship first caught the attention of fans just a few months ago, when they were at an event together. Now, you’ll see photos and Instagram Stories of them hanging out at the beach, at a party, or while eating somewhere. Their most recent getaway was at Siargao for the opening of Lauren’s spa, Sirena Spa.
Juliana Gomez, Claudia Barretto, and Leila Alcasid
Aside from being Bench Setters, these three have become close because of their parents’ friendship. They are showbiz scions after all. You’ll usually spot them attending events together and meeting celebrities like Brooklyn Beckham and Cole Sprouse.
Gabbi Garcia, Julia Barretto, Khalil Ramos, Dani Barretto, and Joshua Garcia
It’s no secret that Gabbi Garcia is a huge fan of JoshLia, especially since she’s been friends with Julia Barretto since high school. So it’s not surprising to see their group grow as they hang out with other showbiz friends like Joshua Garcia (who’s dating Julia), Khalil Ramos, and Julia’s big sis, Dani. Their most recent get-together involved darts and lots of food.
The Blogger Besties
You’ve seen them going to concerts, events, traveling together, or just having brunch. The Blogger Besties were brought together by their dedication to their content-creating jobs and they’re almost inseparable. Even their boyfriends—collectively known as the “Blogger Jowas“—have become close to each other because of how much they see each other.
Angelica Panganiban, Bela Padilla, and Kim Chiu
Based on their posts about each other, this trio loves to laugh. Kim Chiu told ABS-CBN News in 2017 that they get along with telling jokes to each other and just doing simple activities like jogging in UP Diliman. Aside from working out together, you can also see posts of them drinking and eating together on Instagram Stories.
Kris Aquino, Erich Gonzales, and Kim Chiu
This group feels more like a mini-family. Kris Aquino would often post about Erich Gonzales and Kim like they’re her own daughters. They even act as big sisters to Bimby and Josh. So it’s no surprise that you’d often see Kris supporting their upcoming films and vice versa. She even adopted Erich for a night after she had an asthma attack on set. How motherly!
