Marvel Netflix star Rosario Dawson just revealed that she’s coming to the Philippines soon. But the big question is why?
She shared this during Mike Colter’s (who plays Luke Cage) Instagram Live, where he’s updating fans that he’s on his way to the Philippines. He will be a guest at the Netflix panel happening this Saturday at Asia Pop Comic Con, along with Iron Fist star Finn Jones. Rosario wrote, “I may go to the Philippines in December…”
It’s possible that Rosario was invited by the women behind the #BabaeAko movement, which was created to call out Pres. Duterte’s misogyny. She recently expressed her support and felt that the “social media campaign has resonated to a broad spectrum of Filipinas (and decent Filipino men) here and abroad.”
Maybe Rosario was invited to attend another convention in December? Aside from the Marvel Netflix shows like Daredevil and Luke Cage, Rosario has starred in other hit movies like Sin City and Seven Pounds. She’s also done voice acting for The Lego Batman Movie and a couple animated Justice League films.
Or, you know, she might just be stopping by for a vacation. It is the Christmas season when she gets here and trips to beaches are common during this time.
Whatever Rosario’s reason may be, we hope she enjoys her stay here. We’re also willing to bet that she’ll ask her co-stars Mike and Finn for their itineraries.
