‘Buy Bust’ gets 100% on Rotten Tomatoes

Anne Curtis’ new film Buy Bust took two years to produce and finally celebrated their opening day in Manila yesterday. And to add to the celebration, the film also received a 100 percent fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes.

Director Erik Matti couldn’t help but post the review on his Instagram page with the caption, (deleted) “As if today is not important enough. We open in over 170 cinemas nationwide. And… #rottentomatoes score just hit 100 percent! Iho de puga guid#BuyBust

The rating is based on the published reviews of top critics on the website which includes Variety and Hollywood Reporter. More reviews are expected to come in as the film is set to be screened in North America starting Aug.10.

The film got early reviews prior to Manila’s opening day due to their participation in international film festivals like the New York Asian Film Festival, South Korea’s Bucheaon International Fantastic Film Festival, and Canada’s Fantasia Film Festival.

Anne’s close friends also couldn’t help but share their thoughts on the film after watching it last night.

Isabelle Daza found it to be so good she did not check her phone ONCE. And urged director Erik to make more films!

Raymond Gutierrez said his heart was racing for the duration of the whole film.

Iza Calzado described Anne as a total badass woman.

And Nico Bolzico regrets all the times he teased Anne in the past after seeing what she’s capable of.

Congrats, Anne and Direk Erik!
