Crazy Rich Asians’ broke two PH-Box Office records

We told you the Crazy Rich Asians fever is real and on an all-time high! The film broke two box-office records for their opening in the Philippines as announced by Warner Bros. Woohoo!

For one, the film already earned P82.7-M for the first five days in the country and beat The Meg (P63.4-M) for having the Biggest Opening of the year for Warner Bros. Second, they beat the All-Time Biggest Opening Weekend for a Foreign Rom-Com which surpassed Maid in Manhattan (P24-M). Real crazy, huh?

The author Kevin Kwan couldn’t help but share the good news. “Thank you, Philippines, for making #CrazyRichAsians the No. 1 MOVIE IN THE COUNTRY,” the all-caps alone screams excitement and happiness. “Thank you for supporting my books from the very beginning! Mahal ko kayo!” (I love you all!)

Chris Pang who plays Colin Woo also posted a screenshot and said, “Thank you, Philippines!” partnered with a ton of heart emojis.

Okay, now we definitely want to catch it again. Who’s with me?
