Amy Schumer and Emily Ratajkowski were arrested for protesting against sexual assault

As we’re writing this, there are protests against the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, who’s accused of sexual assault. Most especially now that the US Senate is set to vote for him after the FBI investigation reportedly cleared him of any suspicion of misconduct.

But that didn’t stop the brave men and women who are part of the anti-Kavanaugh protests in Washington DC, even after police detained and arrested them. Actresses Amy Schumer and Emily Ratajkowski were also apprehended during the protests, yet they still ensured that the fight goes on.

MSNBC posted clips of police officers escorting protesters out of the Hart Senate Office Building atrium. It also showed those who were detained, which included a glimpse of Amy and Emily. There’s still no new as to why the protesters were arrested.

Before getting arrested, Amy spoke during the protest and said, “No matter how this goes, they cannot keep us down. We will win. A vote for Kavanaugh is a vote saying women don’t matter.” She later posted a video where she said they might get arrested.

Emily also tweeted about the arrest and reminded everyone of who the Senate is considering as their Supreme Court Judge. “Today I was arrested protesting the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, a man who has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault. Men who hurt women can no longer be placed in positions of power.

Keep fighting the good fight, ladies. We’re tired of seeing another man who is disrespectful to women and have potentially harmed them, especially one who lashes out at people when they are being investigated for their alleged crimes.
