Wash off all your bad decisions with clay masks

Yup, we’re still obsessed with skincare and that’s not going to change anytime soon. There are so many products out there from serums to cleansers but masks have been taking over. And, again, there are so many types like sheet masks, sleeping masks, and tub masks. But one of the most satisfying ones are clay masks. If you have ever tried one, you know what I’m talking about. When applying it on your face, it feels cool and then you get the weirdest sensation once it starts to harden. But, that’s when you know it’s working. Once you rinse it off, you almost feel like a new person. Depending on your skin concern and skin type, there are many masks you can try, we found some below to help you out.

Kahilom Detox Mask

Strip your skin of excess oils and toxins with this mask. It is made of local activated bamboo charcoal and bentonite clay. These will deeply cleanse pores and remove dead skin cells. It is also infused with Himalayan cedarwood and lavender, which giving a relaxing feeling. If you have normal to oily acne-prone skin, pick this mix up. Available at HUB Make Lab, First United Building, 413 Escolta Street, Binondo.

Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay

Volcanic clay is also good for the skin so use this one that has Jeju volcanic clay. This will exfoliate any dead skin you might have while absorbing sebum. You will also notice a cooling sensation that will refresh your face and contract your pores. Leave this on for five to 10 minutes to get the full effect. Available on Beauty Bubble.

Human Nature Pollution Defense Face Mask

My current favorite clay mask is this one from Human Nature. This is perfect to use after a long day out and about in the city since it targets pollution left on the skin. It has bentonite clay that removes excess oil and tightens skin. Bamboo charcoal lifts impurities while moringa seed oil will protect skin from air pollution. Leave this on your skin until it dries completely and wash it off to see clean and radiant skin. Available at Rustan’s Supermarkets.

Fresh Umbrian Clay Purifying Mask

This product is more than just a mask, you can use it three different ways. As a mask, apply on your face and then rinse it off after five minutes. You can also use it to minimize imperfections by applying it on the area until it dries. Lastly, use it as deep cleanser by using just a small amount on damp skin. Sandalwood oil calms the skin while chamomile and lavender help soothe it. Available on Sephora PH.

Rraw Clayey Collection

If you want to try out more than one clay mask, cop this set of four. One is made of French clay while the Moroccan mint mask will leave your skin with a dewy glow. Their Pot of Pink uses pink clay and the Black Tea mask is infused with activated coconut charcoal. Experiment with these depending on what your skin needs or even try multimasking.
