It’s been over a year since Scott Disick and Sofia Richie went public together, and during that time, the couple has managed to keep a separate life from the Kardashians. And even though Scott’s children with Kourtney Kardashian have bonded with his current girlfriend, the two women have never been in the same room. That is, until the weekend, when the two finally sat down together.
The three reportedly had dinner in Malibu over the weekend. Hold your gasp though, because no dramatic confrontation or anything of that sort happened. As E! News noted, “The dinner was very casual and simply a chance for everyone to be in the same room at the same time.” As for the reason behind the three finally sitting down together, a source said, “Scott and Sofia are very serious and Scott felt it was important that Sofia and Kourtney interact and bond.”
Another shared, “They have kept things separate for over a year now, and Kourtney is now more open and willing to have a surface level relationship with Sofia.” Adding that, “Scott and Kourtney both agreed it is better to get the elephant out of the room and for them to all be in each other’s lives in order to make things flow easiest for the sake of the kids.”
This relationship is certainly complex, but we’re glad to see the three adults are trying to make it work, especially since kids are involved. Separation between partners is always harder on the children, so we applaud this mature move from the two ladies. Who knows? We might even see all of them bonding during the holidays.
