Here’s how you can easily incorporate exercise into your routine

Staying healthy, strong, and keeping the endorphins up can be difficult, especially when you don’t have much time to spare. For many working ladies, we’re so busy juggling our many requirements, social life, and sleeping that we put it off. Of course, rest is very important but we have to learn how to take care of our bodies as well. If you’re like me and you want to start incorporating some physical activity into your tight schedule, here are some tools and exercises you can use at home.

SKLZ Exercise Bands

What to do: Lateral straight leg walk and shoulder external rotation

Exercise bands are not only useful for when you have no time, they’re perfect for travel too. These can be used for strength and stability for both the upper and lower body. This is a set of three, each having different levels of resistance. You can either search for quick video tutorials online or refer to the booklet it comes with. Available at Chris Sports branches.

Core Jump Rope

What to do: Three-minute rounds with one-minute rest in between. Adjust according to how much time you have.

A jump rope is probably the best exercise tool you can own. Just like the bands, they’re great to take along with you on trips too. Jumping rope for a few rounds is a full body workout so you’re training every part to become even stronger. Available at Toby’s branches.

Adidas Yoga Mat

What to do: Quick 20-minute session in the morning

You don’t have to book a class to do yoga, you can do it in the comforts of your own home. If you already know some moves, create combinations that you can do regularly. You can also find some easy videos online. Available at Power Plant Mall.

Questor Nylon Ankle and Wrist Weights

What to do: Lunges, arm circles, and squats with leg lifts

Pump your regular calisthenics with ankle and wrist weights. You can do a variety of exercises to workout your whole body. These come in varying weights like four or 10 pounds so pick the ones you’re most comfortable with. Available at Olympic Village branches.

Body Sculpture Medicine Ball

What to do: Bicep curls, crunches, and rolling push ups

Medicine balls are also very versatile workout tools and will really test your strength. You can start off with 2-kg and then move up as your body gets used to it. First try simple exercises and then try out more complicated ones to challenge yourself. Available at JB Sports branches.
