If you thought being part of Hamilton in 2017 was a a huge accomplishment for Rachelle Ann Go, here’s something even bigger. BroadwayWorld, a leading theater site for West End and the UK, named her Best Actress in a New Production or a Musical. Whoa!
The site released their annual Broadway UK Awards yesterday, which included winners from shows like Hamilton, Les Misérables, Spring Awakening, and more. Rachelle, of course, won for her role as Eliza Schuyler in Hamilton.
After hearing the news, Rachelle thanked everyone who voted for her to win the award.
This isn’t the first time Rachelle won an award for a performance overseas. In 2016, West End Frame gave her the Best Performance of a Song for Les Misérables. Who knows? Maybe she’ll win a Tony next.
