EXO’s Kai and BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim may be the first couple to officially go public in 2019. Don’t take our word for it, take it from the fans who had a collective freakout when the news came out.
This all started when Dispatch released photos of the two K-pop idols on a date. Both of them were wearing bonnets, scarves, and coats to seem low-key while entering a park together. According to the site, Kai picked up Jennie at her house after he came back from Hawaii. They then spent time together at Sky Park.
SM Entertainment, EXO’s label, later issued a statement to confirm their relationship. “Kai and Jennie have mutual feelings for each other,” the rep said.
Fans instantly posted several reactions on social media. Many of them were celebratory and equally funny, while others are angry at Dispatch for invading their privacy. The emotions are at an all-time high, people.
What a way to start the year for K-pop fans.
