Happy 23rd birthday to BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim! Known for her vocals and rap skills, she’s proven to be a fierce sweetheart onstage, as well as behind the scenes. Aside from music, of course, Jennie is also admired for her other talents and interests. I mean, fans probably binge-watched all of her performances already and might be breaking the replay button already.
If you want to get to know Jennie a little bit more, here are other things she can do in light of her birthday.
Working in the kitchen
In a few episodes of BLACKPINK HOUSE, the group’s YouTube vlog series, Jennie is seen cooking and baking various dishes. This can range from kimchi rice to macarons. Episode 9-1 shows her making pancakes and, just like all of us, she doesn’t make perfect batches at times. But her determination to make each one fluffy and golden is adorable.

Play sports but make it fashion. And also hit seven pins in one throw.
Actual modeling
For an editorial video for Harper’s Bazaar Korea, Jennie is seen doing her own model walk while wearing designer clothing, including a Chanel lock-and-chain necklace.
This is also just one of her many magazine gigs as she also fronted the cover of W Korea and became the face for Les Eaux De Chanel perfume.
Collecting designer items
Is this considered a talent? Because it should be with the amount of investing you’d do to cop luxury stuff. Jennie is called the “Human Gucci,” a nickname given by fans after seeing what she wears onstage and at award shows. But, since she’s a Chanel girl, you’ll mostly see her flaunting pieces from the brand on her IG feed. Perhaps her nickname should be changed to “Human Chanel.”
Acting
Before becoming part of BLACKPINK, Jennie made an appearance in G-Dragon’s music video for “THAT XX” in 2012. She played his love interest and it had a range of emotions, so you’ll see Jennie go from the sweet girlfriend to a gloomy bride. We wonder if she’d continue her acting stint in movies in the future. Hmm.
