Kim Kardashian’s Baby Boy Wasn’t a Surprise

If Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s son ever asks them if he was an accident, they can prove that their answer would be a definitive “no.”

In an exclusive with Us Weekly, a close source to Kim reveals that she and Kanye had planned for their second—and final—child to be a boy all along. According to the source, Kim “only had boy embryos implanted,” during the IVF gender selection process.

“Kanye loves Nori more than anything, but to make his world complete, he wanted a little boy, an heir,” says a blabber-mouthed source close to Kanye, while a good friend of Kim shares, “Kim always wanted two kids: a girl and a boy.” While many women have said the same thing, few have the resources to ensure it—the procedure reportedly costs upwards of $17,000.

While a number of news websites have already picked up the story, the Daily Mail claims to have gotten in touch with Kim’s spokesperson who flat-out denied it: “The story is false.”

Frankly, neither news source is more credible than the other. In any case, the idea of it, and the fact that’s it’s safe and possible, is still pretty cool. We’re genuinely happy for Kimye, especially after their well-documented troubles with getting pregnant again. Kim is due to give birth this December, so expect some pretty frequent updates on her pregnancy until then.
