Fashion repeats itself and here’s proof. On Instagram, Kim Kardashian posted a few snaps of herself wearing a Azzedine AlaÏa bodysuit. If it looks familiar, that’s because Naomi Campbell modeled it on the runway in 1991. Here’s a side by side comparison of the looks.
Wait, we’re not done yet. Kim also posted a photo of her wearing an all-animal print outfit: top, bottom, coat, shoes, and gloves. In the caption she quoted Cher from Clueless, “You don’t understand… this is an AlaÏa.”
Naomi must have spotted this ensemble because she posted a throwback photo of her wearing an AlaÏa animal print outfit as well.
This just proves that no matter how “old” a design might be, they can also be timeless. I wonder what reworked 2019 looks we’ll be seeing 20 years from now.
