Hold on to your seats, because Marvel Studios released a new trailer for the much-awaited Avengers: Endgame.
The short clip opens with a morose shot of Tony Stark still stuck in space. While recording a message for his fiancée Pepper Potts, he reminisces about how Iron Man came to be, and expresses his love for her.
It then moves on to a series of flashbacks in black and white, and similar to the first Endgame trailer, only the color red is highlighted. In the montage, scenes from past Marvel films were shown, like Steve Rogers carrying Peggy Carter’s coffin in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and the Snappening by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. Hawkeye’s flashbacks include him teaching his daughter how to shoot an arrow, probably hinting at the fact that his family fell victim to the snap.
In the colored shots, another notable scene is how Black Widow and Hawkeye/Ronin are sporting a variety of haircuts, which would suggest the film hopping to different timelines. (Or, you know, they could just be having fun experimenting with their looks.)
Speaking of style choices, we also see Cap, Nebula, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, War Machine, Iron Man, and Black Widow in fancy, matching white Avengers outfits. Where they’re heading off to is still a mystery. (Maybe the rumored Quantum Realm, or to hunt down Thanos in space?)
Remember to watch till the very end. After the title card, we see what is presumably Thor and Captain Marvel’s first meeting. Watch the full trailer below to see what the Asgardian god thinks of the fierce female warrior.
Avengers: Endgame is scheduled to open in theaters worldwide on April 26, and could reportedly be up to three hours long. We know you’re excited. The question is, are you ready for the end?
