False alarm, guys! Cameron Diaz wasn’t in El Nido.
Food entrepreneur Happy Ongpauco-Tiu shared photos of the same woman staying at Vanilla Beach in different angles. Based on her caption, she also thought she was Cameron and the guy with her was Bradley Cooper.
Several netizens, including Karen Davila and Heart Evangelista, also pointed out that the woman must be a lookalike.
Here’s another photo of the Cameron lookalike from Happy’s Instagram Stories when she returned earlier today.
Case closed, we guess.

It’s been over a year since Cameron Diaz announced her retirement from acting. And what does one do after that? Go on well-deserved lunch dates with friends and beach vacations. Which is probably why she flew to El Nido, Palawan earlier this week.
PBA coach Charles Tiu shared a photo of Cameron on Twitter, saying she was staying “in our Vanilla Beach El Nido property!”
Fans immediately freaked out over the news and are hoping to bump into her at the beach.
However, Charles said in another tweet that the photo was taken a few days before he posted. So, no one knows if she’s still vacationing in the Philippines at this moment.
Cameron, whose last movie was Annie (2014), sad in an interview with Christina Applegate and Selma Blair that she’s “literally doing nothing,” but didn’t expound further on why she’s retiring. She’s known for her roles in Charlie’s Angels, There’s Something About Mary, and Shrek.
We hope Cameron had a blast in El Nido. It wasn’t named one of the best beaches in the world for nothing.
