Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s first wedding was done in Vegas, officiated by an Elvis impersonator, and documented on social media (with filters!) by Diplo.
It seems their second one could not be farther from their initial ceremony. This time, the couple kept it super low-key. It took place during the weekend in Carpentras, France, while the reception and after-party happened in Sarrians, where Diplo (whose phone reportedly got confiscated) played a set. And while there aren’t many reports about what went down during the weekend, according to several outlets, the couple got emotional while reading their vows.
An anonymous source told Entertainment Tonight, “Their love really shows and watching them together touched everyone at the wedding. They couldn’t keep their eyes off each other.” Adding, “It was emotional for everyone involved during the ceremony because Sophie and Joe sweetly welled up. They had such happy tears, everyone felt their emotion.”
E!’s source confirmed this, too: “Joe and Sophie both teared up… Everyone stood and cheered and they had huge smiles as they left as a couple. It was an emotional ceremony.”
Additionally, the source revealed that Priyanka Chopra helped plan the event. “Sophie and Priyanka really bonded while planning the wedding,” said the source. “Priyanka, having just experienced it, was so helpful with details, and they have become so close.” According to The News, Priyanka started to cry during the vows, too.
