Gossip Girl—the iconic series which had all of us dressing in preppy fashion—is coming back! Yes, it’s official: We’ll have ourselves a new gang of drama-laden upper east-siders hounded by Gossip Girl, who will have a new weapon: Social media.
Other than the fact that it will take place eight years after Gossip Girl was revealed, not much is known about the plot. “The prestige series will address just how much social media—and the landscape of New York itself—has changed in the intervening years,” a release said. The series, based on the book by Cecily von Ziegesar, is said to have 10 hour-long episodes and will be under HBO Max. Also, Joshua Safran, the creator of the original show, will write this remake, so we can expect the same treatment.
We wonder who will be included in the new cast. Tag us your recos @preenph. Xoxo!
