The model, and daughter of Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez, was crowned last Sunday, September 15, during the Miss World Philippines 2019 coronation night at the Araneta Coliseum, winning over 39 other candidates.
Completing the winners are Katrina Llegado (Miss Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas), Kelley Day (Miss Eco Philippines), Isabelle de Leon (Miss Multinational Philippines), Glyssa Perez (Miss Tourism Philippines), Vanessa Mae Walters (Miss Eco Teen Philippines), Shannon Kerver (1st Princess), and Casie Banks (2nd Princess).
Aside from winning the crown, Michelle was also named Miss Myra E, Miss GCOX, Miss Bluewater Day Spa (tied with Casie Banks), Miss Best Skin (tied with Kelley Day), and Miss Bench.
Michelle will be stepping onto the world stage to represent the Philippines at the Miss World 2019 pageant in London, United Kingdom—which will be another proud moment for our country.
