Season 2 trailer of Netflix’s ‘You’ reveals a major change

Netflix just dropped the official trailer for “You” season two on Thursday, Dec. 5, and it seems like Joe (Penn Badgley) is back with a new name. He prefers to be called Will now.

“You know, love has taken me to some pretty dark places,” Joe, er, Will, states at the beginning of the trailer. “But Los Angeles has got to be as dark as it gets.” After murdering his girlfriend Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail) and her friend, Peach Salinger (Shay Mitchell) in season one, the teaser showed that Joe has moved to Los Angeles. He’s shown observing the crowd in a coffee shop, possibly looking for his next victims. But this is where he’ll also meet Love Quinn, a potential new obsession.

“See that’s the thing about L.A.,” Joe narrates. “Everybody is pretending to be somebody they’re not.”

“You” season two features Penn Badgley, Robin Lord Taylor, James Scully, Charlie Barnett, and Victoria Pedretti. The series will be available to stream on Netflix starting on December 26th.
