According to Inquirer.net, “As of 5:30 pm on Sunday, the evacuation, on boats and water ambulances, of close to 6,000 people from Volcano Island to the mainland towns of San Nicolas, Talisay, Agoncillo, and Laurel was still going on.” With the sudden call for evacuation, a lot of people were not able to prepare. Because of this, the University of the Philippines has posted a call for donation for the eruption victims. On Facebook, they gave a list of items as well as drop off points from Baguio to Quezon City.
