Vanessa Bryant opens up about a mother’s loss

“They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon.”

It’s been four days since basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna passed away due to a helicopter crash. In this tragic passing, they left their loved ones and fans devastated. The Lakers even opted to postpone their games to mourn their friend and teammate’s death.

Earlier today, Kobe’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, posted their family photo with a message for everyone in her instagram account.

She wrote, “My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time.” She continued,  saying how Kobe was such an amazing father and how Gianna was a wonderful daughter and sister.

She also reached out to the families of those who were on the helicopter with her husband and daughter, saying, “We are also devastated for the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in their grief intimately.”

Ending her post, Vanessa shares how the Mamba Sports Foundation has set up an initiative to help those families affected by this tragedy.

“To donate, please go to MambaOnThree.org. To further Kobe and Gianna’s legacy in youth sports, please visit MambaSportsFoundation.org.”
