These movie trailers made noise at the Super Bowl LIV

Another Super Bowl game has concluded, and this year didn’t disappoint. Aside from the game, patrons also tuned in to see who’s performing the national anthem and the performances during the halftime and commercials

Another highly anticipated part of the Super Bowl is when new film trailers are revealed. There are some that are announced for the first time and some that are introduced differently—with extended trailers, featurettes and teasers.

Among the previews that stood out was the extended trailer for “Mulan.” The live action adaptation of the Disney classic has veered away from the original story by adding another villain—a witch. There are also new Disney+ exclusives such as “The Falcon and Winter Soldier”, “WandaVision”, and “Loki”. Lastly, there was also a featurette for the highly anticipated sequel of “A Quiet Place.”

Here are some of the trailers that were dropped at this year’s Super Bowl:

“Mulan”

Aside from revealing a new villain, “Mulan” is still on people’s radars because of lead actress Liu Yifei’s problematic expression of support for the Hong Kong police

“The Falcon and Winter Soldier”, “WandaVision”, and “Loki”

Aside from “Loki” and “The Falcon and Winter Soldier” being origin stories, Marvel fans are excited about “WandaVision”. The Disney+ exclusive has fans craving for more details about it, whether it’s what could have been or what should be.

“Black Widow”

After so many pleas on social media from ScarJo and “Black Widow” fans, the origin story of Natasha Romanov is finally about to be shown on the big screen. It would show her life before she came to join the Avengers.

“A Quiet Place Part II”

The sequel to “A Quiet Place” is set after the ending of the first movie. It will focus on the Abbott family’s struggle in the outside world and how they come to discover that the creatures that hunt sound aren’t the only ones they should be afraid of.

“The Invisible Man”

An adaptation of the book written by H.G. Wells, “The Invisible Man” centers on the story Cecilia Kass’ journey to insanity as she tries to prove she is haunted by someone who cannot be seen—whom she suspects is her “dead” husband.
