In case you missed it, Lee Min-ho’s leading lady for “King: Eternal Monarch” is none other than Kim Go-eun. Although she’s fairly new to drama series (with her first one being “Cheese In The Trap”), Go-eun has enough acting experience in films.
For those who aren’t familiar with her, her acting debut was in a 2012 film called “A Muse,” for which she earned many Best New Actress awards at the 2012 Daejong Film Awards and the 2012 Blue Dragon Film Awards. Apart from that, Go-eun is also known for her performance in the show “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God.”

“Monster”
Growing up independent and aggressive, Bok-soon is known in her neighborhood for being a “psycho b*tch.” Despite lacking intelligence, she manages to run a stall in the market and earn money for her little sister Eun-jeong’s education. One day, a serial killer named Tae-soo ends Eun-jeong’s life after she finds out about his past crimes. This pushes Bok-soon to team up with another girl (whose sister was also killed by Tae-soo) to avenge Eun-jeong.
“Coin Locker Girl”
Abandoned in a coin locker when she was still a baby, Il-young (named by the beggar who raised her until the age 10) was sold by a corrupt detective as payment for his loan from a notorious loan shark known as Mother. Mother raised Il-young to be tough and smart, eventually grooming her to be a personal loan collector. As she is tasked to kill Suk-hyun, a fleeing debtor’s son, she finds herself in a dilemma as she develops feelings for him.
“Canola”
“Canola” is about a grandma reuniting with her granddaughter. After losing her grandchild Hye-ji in the market 12 years ago, Gye-choon finds out that her grandchild’s life was tough since their separation and they struggle fixing their relationship.
“Sunset In My Hometown”
Aspiring rapper Hak-soo has been struggling to become a finalist in reality shows for six years. After another failure, he receives a call from his hometown informing him that e his father is hospitalized. But once he arrives in Byeonsan, he finds out that it was just a ploy by his father so he would come home. As Hak-soo hurries back to Seoul, he is accused of being involved in a phishing scam and ends up going back to his hometown where he reconnects with his old classmate Sun-mi. Through her, he finds it in his heart to accept his past.
“Tune In For Love”
Set in 1994, the movie follows the life of Hyun-woo, an ex-detainee, who goes to work in a bakery where he meets Mi-soo (who runs the store with her sister). Initially scared of Hyun-woo, Mi-soo eventually warms up and starts to develop feelings for Hyun-woo. Still carrying the guilt of what happened in the past (an accident that led to a friend’s death), he keeps reserved about his personal life. One day, Hyun-woo’s friends appear at the bakery and take him with them. After believing that he won’t ever return, Mi-soo finds herself crossing paths with him multiple times in the span of 10 years.
